1/2 – 3/4 c. fresh basil finely chopped (thai basil preferred, but not necessary)
1/2 onion finely chopped
4 garlic cloves crushed
1-2 T. grated ginger
1/2 c. coconut aminos
1/4 c. sirachi (add 1/4 c. for more heat)
1/2 – 3/4 c. flaxseed meal
2 lbs. ground beef (can sub for ground turkey or chicken)
sesame oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
Chop the basil, onion, and garlic and add to a large bowl. Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoughly, but not too much or the meat will get tuff.
Heat the oven to 400 and roll 1 1/2 in balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15 mins.
Then heat a pan up with sesame oil and brown the top and bottom.
This pairs well with edamame.
